Annapurna Base Camp (ABC)

Although there are several trekking Himalayas routes in Nepal, Annapurna is one of the famous routes most foreigners have on their top trekking bucket list. It is the 10th highest peak on the planet at 8091 meters, 26545 ft. above sea level. But while talking about Annapurna base camp (ABC) only then is it 4,130 m. Mid-September to November (autumn) and March to May (spring) are the best seasons to trek to Annapurna Base Camp. To trek in the Himalayas is quite expensive, but don’t worry I share some of my experience so that you can route from Kathmandu to ABC camp and back to Kathmandu within a week in a cheap budget. Here I am providing information about travel on a minimum budget.
Let’s start our journey, I will guide you from A to Z. First when you arrive at Kathmandu TIA then stay at a hotel there are lots of cheap and expensive hotels. The next day early morning take a microbus it’s like a van from Kalanki Chowk toward the destination of Pokhara. If you feel confused then while reaching Kalanki Chowk you can ask any Nepali they will guide you. Around 11 am to 12 pm you will reach Pokhara then from Pokhara head destination toward Ghangruk take a local jeep or bolero which runs frequently. Maybe around 6 pm, you will reach Ghangruk. Ghangruk is a village of one of the Gurung community. They have their own culture tradition language and food.

Till now I believe you have some chocolate, sneakers as well as lightweight stuff like a bag, flexible trousers, proper trekking shoes, and a raincoat as well because at the top weather is quite unpredictable. Take a rest in Ghangruk and have a warm bath because you have traveled since early morning. Just relax and prepare for the next day. The following day head toward Bamboo, it’s a place name. While trekking from Ghangruk don’t forget to enjoy the scenic view of hills surrounded by rhododendrons Nepal’s national flowers, the natural sound of water stream, birds chirping here and there, and fresh air while inhaling it feels like heaven.
On that day try to reach Doban if possible, but if you are tired then you can stay at Bamboo. Have a sour of warm water then have a ginger tea if possible because ginger is known for its anti-nausea properties, and nausea is a common symptom of altitude sickness. Next day carry warm ginger water in your water bottle so that you can drink on the way.

And next, the following day aims to reach ABC by evening. Here you can see Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) on the way. By the evening you can reach ABC camp see the surroundings enjoy the evening, and finally don’t forget to wake up at midnight again and look at the surroundings of Annapurna it feels like heaven although it’s night all around lights will reflecting from Annapurna. You feel like heaven is a myth.
Then in next day pack your stuff and return the same route until Chomrong. After Chomrong on the way to Phedi, there is a hot spring in Jhinudanda. It’s a natural hot spring on the lap of mountains. Locals believe that the waters have a healing quality that may take away your aches and pains.
Within two days you can come down to Pokhara from the top ABC. It depends on you. After reaching Pokhara if you have enough time then you can hang out on the Lake Side It totally a tourist area with nightlife with lots of musical restaurants and bars.
So, I believe you have enjoyed the journey with me. I traveled on a budget if you want you can chill and relax as much as you can.
